Over-Mature Beech

Height: 23m

Stem diameter: 141cm

Spread: 19.5m

This is a tall, large wide spreading tree. It is growing on the boundary in the eastern corner of the site boundary, adjacent to a public footpath and Kirklands Road. The remnants of Meripilus giganteus. were noted at the trees base on its eastern side, adjacent to the footpath. The crown contained crossing and fused branches, snapped branches and deadwood. Pruned in the past, several small branch stubs and pruning wounds with minor decay were noted. Due to the presence of the Meripilus giganteus. I advise that this tree be re-inspected using a resistograpth, to determine the condition of the roots and lower stem.
