We are told of many things we can do that can save money and the environment, turning the thermostat down, adding insulation, using less water, stopping draughts, reducing the use of packaging, recycling, walking or cycling instead of driving, car pooling etc. But there are other things we can do that can cost a lot of money. Should it matter that it might not pay for itself in reduced heating bills if it saves half a tonne of Carbon Dioxide a year?
