Website hacked Print E-mail
Written by Paul Marfell

Sometime over the weekend the Baildon Village website was hacked by what appeared to be a Turkish Red Beret group.

The main site changes I was worried about were all the recent additions for the 2010 calendar of the Denso Marston Nature Reserve activities. Fortunately these have not been lost.

I have several things in place that should make it difficult for the site to be hacked and also frequent backups so the site can be restored but if you notice that the site has been hacked please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it - and Yes, I know that if the site has been hacked you probably won't see this message but an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it will get to me so please let me know.

Thanks.

Baildon Scarecrow Invasion 12-09-09 Print E-mail
Written by Percy Vear

No one would have believed that since the 1st Wacky Scarecrow Event held in 2008 that Baildon Village was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man’s.......No one gave a thought to the bales of hay and straw that disappears from local farmer’s fields would be a source of human danger...... Yet across the gulf of one year, busy minds were at work, scheming, thinking, plotting & deciding how to avenge the fact Farmers no longer used a friendly chap to protect the crops.

These bits of straw when combined together with old clothes took the shape of human form.  These “Scarecrow” creatures regarded Baildon village with envious eyes, and slowly and surely they drew their plans against us.
