Baildon Parish Council Co-option |

Baildon Parish Council is now up to capacity.
Following a campaign over the last month or so Baildon Parish Council, with the help of the Baildon Neighbourhood Forums and the St Hugh's Centre, now has two representatives for the Baildon South West ward.
Originally the Baildon South West ward had no nominations put forward for the formation of the Parish Council. One of the main things that contributed to this is that Baildon South West is part of Shipley for the District Council but is within Baildon for the Parish Council.
During the "open" section of the Baildon Parish Council meeting held on 8th October 2007 in the Baildon Community Link three residents from the South West ward stood up to say a few words about themselves. An early agenda item was then for the Councillors to vote for two of the candidates and then for them to be officially appointed as Councillors by the newly appointed Clerk to the Baildon Parish Council, Ruth Batterley, who had just taken on the role of Proper Officer from the Chair.
As a result of the ballot Alan Smith and Rebecca Malekottodjary are now representing the Baildon South West ward.
Their details will be added to the article on the Baildon Parish Council. They can be contacted, as can all the councillors, by using email.
