As 'brainstormer' whose idea this was initially, I should like to let you know the latest progress of the plans.......
We are holding the event as a FIRST on Sunday 27th May 2007 and hope that same will generate enough interest to become an annual event. We hope to raise money for local projects and as I have been involved with The Antony Nolan Trust for some 10 year or so, we would like them to benefit also.
It is hoped that we generate enough interest in and around the Baildon/Shipley area and we hope to attract entrants from near and far.
We are pleased to report that subject to finalising details Bradford Council, Police and First Buses have responded POSITIVELY and initial interest has been very promising.
The day should prove to be a success and as same is an 'open event' (donations and programme sales) we hope a fun day will be had by all.
If anybody is interested in either racing or helping with the organisation in any way I can be contacted on eddysmachine AT blueyonder DOT co DOT uk or by leaving details with my organising colleagues Richard & Sue at the Cricketers Arms, Baildon Green........alternatively, we have a web site which gives more details.
