Development Framework - Core Strategy - 2007/05/11 00:19
Those interested in the Bradford District Local Development Framework who want to be involved in the Core Strategy Issues and Options Consultation Event should read the related documents here.
Major changes in the planning system are ahead.
The new "Local Development Framework" will replace the "Unitary Development Plan, (UDP) in allocating land use and setting out guidance on "permitted development" in our district.
In future, all planning decisions will be made with reference to this guidance.
The new system appears more complex, based on a series of documents and guidance notes. However, it does include a clear responsibility to consult with local residents, Parish Councils etc on a wider range of planning issues.
The "core strategy" is at the centre of this, and is the focus of the consultation event at Victoria Hall on 19 May.
