Re:Ingfield - 2007/05/13 18:27 Hello Paul
Apparently - in its day - Ingfield was a detached house (the daughter of the house who is now 90 says!). could Ingfield Terrace have once been a house? Also I have been asked to enquire if anyone knows of a 'Sefton Lodge'.

Re:Ingfield - 2007/05/18 14:40 We bought our house from the Robinson's 10 years ago, they moved to Addingham. We are at the top of Kirklands Road. The whole building is made up of 5 houses, called Ingfield Cottage, 1 Ingfield, 2 Ingfield, 3 Ingfield and 4 Ingfield. We have heard that the middle house was originally a malting house for Bailon House, across the other side of Station Road, and the other coattages are possibly the old coach house, stables and other add ons. Do you want to contact the Robinson's if so we can probably help.

Re:Ingfield - 2007/05/19 11:24 Thank you for your message re Ingfield and I have sent your reply onto the relatives of the original Robinsons to see if this is the same Robinsons or a coincidence! I shall let you know the reply and thanks again.

Re:Ingfield - 2008/04/16 12:05 During the 50's, the "Wood" family resided at "Ingfield", and at this time, the whole building was just one dwelling. It may well have been a malting house at one time as "Baildon Lodge" on the opposite side of "Station Road" was indeed an old Ale House, which I believe was called "The Leather Breeches". This was situated at the bottom of "Holden Lane", on the right, looking North, whilst "Baildon House" was on the left of "Holden Lane", looking North. Immediately opposite the bottom of "Holden Lane" was "Sefton Lodge" which was owned by the "Holroyd" family, and was situated adjacent to "Ingfield".
