BAILDON MOOR LANDFILL - 2007/06/11 16:21 Someone has been using building rubble to fill in a track in the NW corner of Baildon Moor. The area of the track is considerably damaged by horse traffic coming onto the moor in the winter. However, the amount of rubbish in this rubble - including broken glass, builders plastic, electrical wire, water taps, rusting metal, plastic pipe etc. - makes this a highly inapropriate solution and could constitute the moor being used as an illegal landfill site. Moreover, the nature of the rubbish poses a safety issue for both people and the biodiverstiy of the moor.

I have contacted the manager for the moor, and also the Countryside Services of Bradford Council. Does anyone else know anything about this?
