This web site hosts a forum for use by alll Bradford Parish Councills. It can be found here. 

Ellections were held on 3rd May 2007 for two of the wards in Baildon (Baildon West and Baildon East) and then on 14th May 2007 the Parish Council took office.

Two local residents from the South West ward were co-opted onto the Parish Council on Monday 8th October 2007.

May 2008 - Eddie Ward resigns.

July 2008 - Denis Colman co-opted to replace Eddie Ward. 

July 2008 - Stephen Heaton resigns due to work commitments.

Dates

It is the intention of the Parish Council to hold its meeting on the second Monday of each month. Please refer to the calendar for the exact dates, times and venues.  Once the agenda items are known they will form part of the calendar entry. The library and noticeboards will also be used to publicise the meetings.

Copies of the minutes and agendas are available on this website in the Documents section which can be accessed using the Documents link on the right or using this link which will take you to the correct section. Copies of these documents will also be available in the library. The approved and signed copies will be held by the Parish Council and are available on request.

The web site is intended to help people find information about what goes on in Baildon. A great deal of information has been collected and entered but there is plenty of room for more.  I think it is a good idea if we focus on a particular subject at a time. As a starter let's work on details of the Faith Organisations of Baildon. We have excellent details for some of the churches but entries for some of the others is minimal. Are you a member of one of these churches where we have only a small entry? If so we need your help.

Have a look at the articles for the Moravian Church and the Methodist Church. It would be great if the other Faith Organisations had similar content.

The article can be used to inform current members and to attract new members. It can also contain photos.

To complement the Baildon Village Community web site a Baildon Wiki has been created.

The community web site is for information, news, events etc that is useful and interesting now.

The Baildon Wiki is intended to be for things that are of interest rather than useful. It is a Wiki and so is able to be edited by any visitor. What needs to happen now is that visitors tell their stories about things in and around Baildon. Such things as What was the cinema like when it was used? Where did the Potted Meat Stick disappear to?
